Sales Data Engineer
Pay: $80,000.00 – $130,000.00 per year

Job Overview
The Sales Data Engineer will serve as a technical bridge between Transfix’s advanced data solutions and our prospects and customers. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, sales acumen, and customer-centricity to support the entire customer lifecycle—from sales to implementation and ongoing account success. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a highly adaptable and innovative environment, working with some of the largest players in the logistics industry.
What You'll Do in this Role
Sales Cycle Support:
Conduct tailored product demonstrations, showcasing data science models, pricing solutions, and automation capabilities.
Demonstrate key features and benefits, including the value and ability to solve pricing problems accuracy and at scale
Collaborate with the sales team to articulate the value of Transfix’s data-driven solutions to prospects.
Optimize Transfix solution integration (UI/API) into customer workflows for seamless adoption and maximum value.
Provide technical responses to RFPs and assist in crafting proposals for prospects.
Customer Onboarding and Implementation:
Guide customers through the setup and integration of our pricing models, cost analysis tools, and forecasting systems.
Serve as a technical resource to answer internal and external customer questions and provide best practices.
Oversee the quality assurance of integration data from customers to support model training.
Ongoing Customer Support:
Act as a trusted advisor to customers, ensuring they derive maximum value from Transfix’s solutions.
Provide guidance on using data models for cost optimization, margin optimization, and procurement strategies.
Support customers during RFP cycles with data-driven insights and recommendations.
Explore new ways for them to grow within the Transfix ecosystem
Cross-functional Collaboration:
Work closely with the engineering, data science, and product management teams to understand and communicate product updates.
Provide feedback from customers and sales cycles to inform product enhancements and roadmaps.
Collaborate with marketing to develop technical documentation, case studies, and training materials.
How to Know this Role is for You
You have a bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
You have 3+ years of experience in a technical sales or sales engineering role, ideally within logistics, SaaS, or related industries.
You have a strong understanding of data science principles, statistical modeling, and AI/ML applications.
You exhibit excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts.
You are proficient in data visualization tools and programming languages such as Python or R is a plus.
You have experience with transportation management systems (TMS), forecasting models, or pricing algorithms is highly desirable.
You have proven ability to manage multiple projects and customers in a fast-paced environment.
You lead with a customer-focused mindset and a passion for delivering exceptional service.
You reside in one of the following states: New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, California, Florida, Massachusetts, Texas, Illinois.

This role pays a base salary between $80,000 and $130,000 per year depending on experience level, geographic location, an annual/quarterly cash bonus as well as equity in Transfix.**
