About the Role

As our technology continues to disrupt and transform the critical yet highly antiquated logistics industry, we are focusing on building our exceptional sales team to accelerate our growth. That’s why we are looking for a Sales Manager to join our team. Reporting directly to our Vice President of Revenue, this role will help ensure that we are delivering the ideal cost model and SaaS solutions and services offerings to our customers based on their specific needs, challenges, and goals. 

As Sales Manager, you’ll support our business development, sales strategy, and sales execution activities, influence our product roadmap as the voice of our prospective customers, and support account management for our existing customers.

What You’ll Do

  • Drive sales strategy and sales execution activities - deliver, evaluate, and refine our sales pitch and messaging at all points of the sales funnel.

  • Conduct tailored product demonstrations, showcasing data science models, pricing solutions, and automation capabilities.

  • Demonstrate key features and benefits, including the value and ability to solve pricing problems with accuracy and at scale.

  • Attend conferences and customer events to improve lead generation productivity, to ultimately meet and exceed pipeline generation and bookings expectations.  

  • Work closely with the engineering, data science, and product management teams to understand and communicate product updates, and bring forward customer feedback to influence the product roadmap.

  • Collaborate with marketing to develop content, documentation, case studies, and training materials.

  • Establish, cultivate, and manage relationships with our existing customer base, keeping a pulse on the rhythm of communications, and explore new ways for them to grow within the Transfix ecosystem.

How You Know this Role is For You:

  • You have 2-3+ years of experience in technical sales, selling software for the transportation, freight, logistics, or supply chain industry, with a demonstrable track record of meeting or exceeding your quotas or goals.

  • You have experience with transportation management systems (TMS), forecasting models, or pricing algorithms.

  • You have a strong understanding of data science principles and statistical modeling. 

  • You are innovative, strategic, agile, and creative in your area of expertise, and understand how to navigate complex and lucrative sales cycles in the constantly changing and fast growing environment of logistics.

  • You are comfortable in a room full of inquiring executives; in fact, this is where you thrive.

  • You are competitive and driven, but you’re enough of a team player to believe that there’s room for everyone at the top and that collaboration wherever possible is the best way to win.

  • You’re not afraid of big goals. In fact, big goals motivate you to go that extra mile every time.

  • You’re a relationship builder who prides yourself on building long-term, meaningful relationships with your prospects by being trustworthy, knowledgeable, and reliable.

  • You have impeccable listening skills and strong communication skills. You love a phone call, video call, and you especially shine in person, but can you also write a well written and compelling email in a pinch.

What You can Expect from Transfix

  • A collaborative, remote-first work environment, with occasional in person events.

  • This role pays a base salary between $80,000-$90,000 per year depending on experience level, geographic location, an annual/quarterly cash bonus as well as equity in Transfix.**
