Every year, trucks haul over 10 billion tons of freight and generate more than $700 billion in revenue. But waste abounds as 55 billion miles are driven empty annually. And even today, booking truckload freight still largely depends on phone, email, and paper for handling transactions.

Our founder, Drew, spent his formative years running his family’s freight brokerage and experiencing first hand the challenges of relying on manual, antiquated processes. It was obvious that the industry was in need of a technology disruption.

Fast forward a few years and Drew’s vision is now realized in Transfix. Along with co-founder and CTO, Jonathan Salama, the team is focused on building the best technology tools to make logistics efficient, transparent, and fair for all.

Getting hired

We hire people from a variety of backgrounds and who are respectful, collaborative, and introspective of their past work. Members of the tech team, for example, come from diverse backgrounds having worked as copy editors, graphic designers, and photographers prior to joining Transfix.

We put a lot of thought into the interview process in order to get a holistic understanding of you while being mindful of your time. Debby Lee, Senior Business Intelligence Analyst

Debby turned her analytical talents to logistics after starting out in finance working for Credit Suisse and then E*TRADE. As Transfix’s analytics guru, she is helping us develop metrics to recognize, remedy, and monitor inefficiencies at every operational stage of the freight-logistics industry.
