Transfix TMS supports full EDI transaction exchange with shippers and trading partners, including EDI 204 (load tender), 990 (response to load tender), 214 (shipment status message), 210 (freight invoice) and 997 (functional acknowledgement). Transfix manages EDI through integrations with Orderful, Tabi Connect and Bitfreighter, so a brokerage can onboard a new shipper trading partner without standing up its own VAN.

EDI or API: which does your brokerage need?

Does Transfix integrate with QuickBooks?
Yes. Transfix TMS syncs with QuickBooks in both directions. Auto-generated shipper invoices, carrier bills and accessorial charges post to QuickBooks, and payment status flows back onto the shipment record, replacing CSV exports and manual journal entries. Transfix also integrates with NetSuite for brokerages running a full ERP.
Does Transfix support EDI 204, 214 and 210?
Yes. Transfix TMS supports EDI 204 (load tender), 990 (tender response), 214 (shipment status), 210 (freight invoice) and 997 (functional acknowledgement). Inbound 204s auto-build shipments, Auto Accept/Reject returns the 990 on your rules, and 214s and 210s are sent back to the shipper automatically.

How does Transfix TMS vet carriers automatically?
Transfix TMS integrates with Highway for carrier identity verification and fraud prevention, FMCSA for operating authority and safety ratings, GenLogs for carrier network intelligence, and E3 Group for driver identity verification at pickup. Checks run inside the booking flow, so a carrier that fails a compliance rule cannot be assigned to a load.
Does Transfix integrate with Triumph, formerly TriumphPay?
Yes. Transfix TMS integrates with Triumph, the payments business formerly branded TriumphPay, for carrier payments and quick-pay. Approved invoices in Transfix release payment through Triumph, and payment status syncs back to the shipment. Relay Payments, Epay Manager and Comdata Comchek are also supported for accessorials, settlement and advances.
Can Transfix TMS connect to a system that is not listed here?
Yes. Priority integrations and EDI connections are mapped during operational discovery at the start of a Transfix implementation, and new connections are built on a shared roadmap with customers. If a system your brokerage depends on is not listed, it can be scoped before go-live.
How long does a TMS integration take to set up?
Integrations are scoped in the first month of a Transfix implementation and developed through weeks 5 to 12, with final integration testing before go-live.
